Pre-Season Outlook
After joining the Bills on a free agent deal, Samuel was expected to settle in as the No. 2 or No. 3 wide receiver. However, after the team added Keon Coleman in the draft, Samuel's situation has likely changed. In two receiver sets, Coleman should be locked into an outside role. That would leave Samuel to battle with Khalil Shakir and possibly Mack Hollins for the No. 2 role. During his career, Samuel has often played the slot. The big question facing Samuel is whether he'll be a full-time player or be on the field as a rotational player when the team uses three-receiver sets. Aside from the 2021 season, when Samuel missed time due to injury, he recorded at least 613 yards and five touchdowns in the last four seasons. Now with Josh Allen as his quarterback, Samuel's fantasy will be dependent upon how much playing time he can earn. Going into training camp, it's possible that Shakir has the edge based on his experience with the team.
